Labor and the Greens have announced their support for a multi-billion-dollar rail tunnel under the Darling River to enable Victoria to deliver a massive rail link to the West Coast.

The Labor-Greens joint statement sai바카라d a tunnel would help move people and goods across the state and boost access to jobs.

It also said its own tunnel was also required to move Victoria's transport network, saying "we've got to find a way to build a more efficient rail network to connect with cities around our state.

"This $20 billion to $50 billion, it's essential that we have a viable public transport infrastructure."

Treasurer Scott Morrison said "a regional rail link to the West Coast" would provide greater opportunity for people "from both ends of the state and all regions of the state to get together" and provide a boost to business.

In addition, Transport Minister Steven Ciobo said a tunnel would benefit both local economies in the regional heartland and attract more business.

Mr Ciobo said a regional rail link woul바카라d help boost Victoria's economic "success story" that has seen job creation, growth and investment increase its entire economy.

"It would create some very exciting opportunities as people and goods come to the East Coast, from regional우리카지노 towns to the inner north," he said.

"It would also provide opportunities for people around the state, not just East Coast residents but for people living in regional towns and the rest of Australia as well to go to work."
